The Economic Crisis: The Impact on our Cultural Institutions
Tuesday January 06, 2009

How is the current economic crisis impacting our organizations? What does it

mean to our sustainability? Our artistic missions? Our operations? Our plans

for growth? How is the new economic context affecting contributions, earned

revenue and the artists with whom we work? Is the current crisis different

than past recessions and economic dark periods? Does history provide any

lessons for us? How can we adjust without sacrificing our vision and values?

What are the short-term actions and long-term strategies we could employ to

cope with the20challenges - or overcome them?

Please plan to join us for a discussion of the challenges and opportunities

facing the arts and culture sector. The event will feature a panel of

national figures in the arts and social sciences who are confronting and

addressing this issue. We will include plenty of time for questions from and

discussion with the audience.
